Greetings fellow bookworms!
I was planning on posting a book review today, but I ran out of time and wasn’t able to finish it. So instead of that, I’m going to be doing something a bit new today. Earlier I snapped some pictures of my two adorable guinea pigs, Shadow and Nugget, as well as a few pictures of my little brother, Dovid. I’ll be sharing those with you today, along with some recent quotes that I’ve fallen in love with! Let’s get started!
(Disclaimer . . . I’m still pretty new to photography so bear with me on a few of these photos!)
Insist on yourself; never imitate.(Ralph Waldo Emerson—Self-Reliance)
Jim said bees wouldn’t sting idiots; but I didn’t believe that, because I had tried them lots of times myself, and they wouldn’t sting me.(Mark Twain—The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn)
“. . . When you run out of hope, everything is backward. Your heart wants the opposite of what it needs.”(Andrew Peterson—The Warden and the Wolf King)
The moral influence of nature upon every individual is that amount of truth which it illustrates to him.(Nature—Ralph Waldo Emerson)
Soliloquy is the smoke exhaled by the inmost fires of the soul.(Victor Hugo—The Man Who Laughs)
No one realizes the miracle of a normal day.(Sadie Robertson—Life Just Got Real)
The best way to understand the present events in our lives is to look back on them from the vantage point of the future.(Matthew West—Today Is Day One)
But that’s always the way; it don’t make no difference whether you do right or wrong, a person’s conscience ain’t got no sense, and just goes for him anyway.(Mark Twain—The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn)
All men have one common original: they participate in one common nature, and consequently have one common right.(Alexander Hamilton—A Full Vindication of the Measures of the Congress . . .)
“Why,” repeated the scout, looking about him proudly, “because it is better for a man to die at peace with himself than to live haunted by an evil conscience! [. . .]”(James Fenimore Cooper—The Last of the Mohicans)
they can take my heart, they can take my breath/when they pry it from my cold, dead chest/(Skillet—The Resistance)
“Good Luck is rather particular who she rides with, and mostly prefers those who have got common sense and a good heart; at least that is my experience.”(Anna Sewell—Black Beauty)
“But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet. [. . .]”(Mark 13:7)
And I think that’s a good quote to end with! Thanks so much for reading, everyone! I hope these quotes were inspiring—or maybe just made you laugh. 😉 Now get out there and do great things! ❤
